BMO Launches Wrap the Good to Promote Small Business Recovery this Holiday Season

BMO is giving the gift of promotion to small businesses owned by women. The bank’s Wrap the Good initiative features custom, recyclable wrapping paper that doubles as ad space, ​​by featuring images of dozens of gifts, as well as a QR code that drives to a Pinterest board featuring hundreds of shoppable products and gift cards from women-owned small businesses across Canada. Businesses in the gift guide include Blume, Remix Snacks and Mme L'Ovary.

The campaign serves as a timely reminder to shop women-owned businesses and support small business recovery this holiday season. Participating businesses from the BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program who are featured in the shopping guide will receive copies of the custom-designed wrapping paper to distribute in their stores and to their networks.

This is a new and innovative way to not only create gift guides for customers but to promote women-owned small businesses. The accessibility of QR codes is becoming more common as a technological solution and even makes shoppers think twice about the kind of wrapping paper they use.
