CANADIAN TIRE’S ULTIMATE MARKETING CHALLENGE
Innovative retail leader, Canadian Tire Corporation, has announced a new contest for Canadian marketing students!
The company is seeking out top marketing students across the country for a new competition. This year’s case focuses on how to win in the outdoor apparel and recreation space.
Students will compete in teams of 2 or 3 (open to Canadian undergraduate university and college students of all years excluding residents of Quebec) and submit their innovative ideas with the chance to pitch their recommendations to a panel of Canadian Tire executives.
The winners of this year’s Ultimate Marketing Challenge will win a prize pack (valued at over $3,000 CAD) per team member, including fast-track interviews to Canadian Tire’s Emerging Marketers Leadership Development Program and an exclusive networking opportunity with Canadian Tire Corporation executives.
Submissions must be sent before 11:59 ET on Friday, April 1, 2022. Interested individuals can read the contest rules HERE.
Kyiv-based company, Tackles Misinformation with Images
Vista’s Depositphotos, a Ukraine-based content platform works to connect authors of high-quality licensed stock photos, graphics, vectors and videos with buyers. In response to the ongoing events in Ukraine, the Vista Depositphotos have launched a new collection - Say No to War. This image collection shows the brutal truth of what’s happening in Ukraine, as well as images of protests from around the world and inside of Russia. It’s updated in real-time and free to use, no matter where you are, whether you’re a global news organization or an individual posting on social media.
Vadim Nekhai, VP, VistaCreate and Depositphotos, sent out an email late last night to Depositphotos Russian-based customers, pleading with them to help spread the truth about the war in Ukraine through concrete actions. In his email, he outlines four requests from our Russian customers:
- Watch news from reputable international media.
- Call friends and relatives in Ukraine, find out the situation first hand.
- Spread ONLY truthful information.
- Take to the streets of your cities with peaceful protests, say “No to war!” – as loudly as possible.

Tim Hortons Launches New Ice Cream Line
The iconic flavours of Tim Hortons are coming soon to your freezer. Introducing Tim Hortons Ice Cream, a lineup of five ice cream flavours inspired by the tastes of Tims: Salted Caramel Iced Capp, Double Chocolate Donut, Birthday Cake Timbits, Apple Fritter and Fruit Explosion.
Tim Hortons Ice Cream is proudly made in Canada in partnership with the Tillsonburg, Ont.-based ice cream producer Shaw's and is made with 100 percent Canadian dairy. Tim Hortons brings its iconic flavours to the ice cream aisle with the launch of its rich and premium quality Tim Hortons Ice Cream, made in Canada with 100% Canadian dairy.
"Tim Hortons has been a beloved taste of Canada since 1964 and we're really excited to be re-imagining some of our most popular flavours as ice creams," said Sourabh Malik, Vice President of CPG at Tim Hortons. "Canadians are going to love Tim Hortons Ice Cream and how we've brought our unique, only-at-Tims tastes to a new dimension. These new ice cream pints are bursting with inclusions like caramel, apple and chocolate donut pieces."
Tim Hortons Ice Cream will be available at grocery stores across Canada in the weeks ahead, including at Co-Op, Loblaws, Sobeys/Safeway and Walmart.
